Patricia Lee "Pat" Foley

Mrs. Patricia Lee “Pat” (Gill) Foley, age 73, of Limerick, ME formerly of Lynn, died early Saturday morning in Beth Israel Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was the beloved wife of Retired Lynn Police Detective William T. Foley Sr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Pat was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Weeden) Gill. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School Class of 1958. She resided in Lynn for most of her life before moving to Florida in 2002. For the past 30 years, she also enjoyed summers in Limerick, Maine.

For 10 years, Pat worked as a Detention Officer with the Lynn Police Department. She enjoyed gardening, the occasional trip to Foxwoods, dancing and entertaining, devotional reading and volunteering with the elderly. Above all, Pat loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Timothy Patrick Foley and his wife Anne of Westborough, William T. Foley Jr. and his wife Cecile of Chelmsford, Michael Foley and his wife Stephanie of El Dorado Hills, CA and Colleen Foley of North Chelmsford. She was the sister of Jerome Gill of Lynn and Francis Gill Jr. of Sacramento, CA. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the twin sister of the late Margaret Allen.

Pat’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, 8 South Common St. LYNN on Thursday at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 8 South Common Street, Lynn on Wednesday from 4-7PM. Gifts in Pat’s memory may be sent to the Faith Bible Church, 127 Warren St. Concord, NH 03301.
