Kenneth E. Patterson Sr.

Kenneth “Kenny” E. Patterson, Sr., age 70 years, of Lynn died Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jeanne Patterson with whom he shared over 48 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Charles Patterson and Shirley (Dugas) Abbott. He was a three time honorably discharged veteran, having served in the United States Navy and the Air National Guard. Kenny was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years, primarily in the Lynn branch. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and helping others – especially youth who needed direction and encouragement and, as a result, touched many lives. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion and an Auxiliary Hibernian. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ken Patterson, Jr. and his wife Janine of Saugus, Michael Patterson and his late wife Joanne of Lynn and Jason Patterson and his wife Katie of Mont Vernon, NH; a daughter Erin (Patterson) Calnan and her husband Sean of Lynn; a sister Jeannette Boynton and her husband David of St. Augustine, FL; sixteen grandchildren, Christian, Brenden, Joshua, Marissa, Cameron, Ellie, Connor, Bridget, Ryan, Shea, Grace, Colin, Brenna, Rory, Kieran and Aidan; a stepmother Silvana Patterson. Kenny’s Funeral will be held at CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
