Edward “Dogman” Murray, 62, a lifelong resident of Lynn, MA passed away on May 20th. Edward was born on July 10, 1956 to the late Edward Monte and Mildred Murray and was the beloved longtime partner of Teresa Clements
He was the loving father of Angelo Mangos of Lynn; the dear brother of Louise Thibeault of FL; the cherished uncle of Chris MacMaster of Franklin, MA, and Bobby MacMaster of FL. Edward is also survived by his many treaseured friends and his loyal canine companions.
A truly selfless man Edward was known for being the kind of man that would give you the clothing off of his back to help someone less fortunate. Known as Dogman by most he had an unconditional love for his dogs. Though there were many over the years you could never find Dogman without his German Sheppard’s or his Boxers. He lived life to its fullest, on his own terms and he knew how to make others around him as excited about life as he was.
Edwards’s biggest passion was for all of the New England sports team; from the Red Sox to the Celtics he loved them all. Although he especially loved the Bruins and the Patriots, of which he had season tickets for many years and loved to bring others to enjoy the game with him. . In his youth he was on the track team and was an avid runner for years.
He loved to be social and make friends with everyone in the room. Edward loved to talk and got to know the people around him. Weather he was playing keno, poker, or just out for a drink at St. Michael’s Bar, if you saw Edward you knew that you were going to have a great time and have a good conversation.
Edward’s Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Cuffe- McGinn Funeral Home, funeral Services will be private.
