Born on August 10, 1924, in Albion, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Martineau) Goodwin.
She graduated from Albion High School. She met her late husband George D. Clark at the watercooler of Harrison Radiator and they later married on December 14, 1945, she lastly worked at Wolcott’s Dairy. She was a member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church and was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed reading, bingo, sewing & quilting, collecting dolls and making clothes for them. She was known for her baked beans & rolls and her “Lady” bug collection.
Her prankster, fun-loving, quirky personality will be missed.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Clark of Oakfield; Marcia Clark of Lyndonville; Joyce (Mark) Ackerman of Lockport; a son-in-law, Keith Rutherford of Medina, grandchildren, Heather Rutherford of Medina; Alan (Kim) Rutherford of Hinesville, GA; Adrienne Clark of Barker; Krista Clark of Batavia; two great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and her feline children, Molly and Babe.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a son, Rev. Richard D. Clark and a daughter, Coleen Rutherford.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, from 4-7 PM at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Beth Malone officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, 10:00 AM at the West Ridgeway Cemetery, Medina.
Memorials may be made in Emma’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
