He is the son of Carl Thomas Goad and Annie Katherine Stinnett Goad and grandson of the Reverend Thomas Edison Goad and Savonna Scott Goad.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Gwendolyn Goad Tyree and special friend Larry E. Morris, his son Thomas Wayne Goad, Jr and wife Lori Jo Goad, one granddaughter Katherine F. Brady and husband Joshua Brady, and a host of relatives and friends.
Wayne was an Air Force veteran who served honorably for four years from 1960 – 1964. He was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church and very involved with his Sunday School class. Throughout
Wayne’s life you could find him entertaining everyone he met with jokes, songs, and his love of the Lord – including his coworkers at Fisher Auto Parts where he was still working as a parts delivery man.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 7th, 3:00 pm at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church.
