Roy Ellis Reynold, 70 of Rustburg passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Lynchburg on May 31, 1952, son of the late Archie Reynolds and the late Elsie Reynolds.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Robin R. Reynolds and a brother, Ronnie L. Reynolds.
Roy was retired from Verizon and had served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He enjoyed going catfishing, woodworking and reading western novels.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; a son, Kevin Rosser (Kara); a daughter, Priscilla Reynolds; a sister, Karen Sue Williams; a brother, Danny R. Reynolds and three grandchildren, Mayson Jett Rosser, Kyliana Cox and Trinity Tyree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 with military honors being rendered by Lynchburg American Legion Post #16.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, TN 38105.
