Rose Marie Lawhorn Keyes

Rose Marie Lawhorn Keyes claimed her heavenly angel wings, Sunday, September 25, 2016. Born December 10, 1951 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Marvin W. Lawhorn (Barbara) of Huddleston and the late Shirley Stanley Lawhorn Colbert and was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael W. Lawhorn and her step father, Anthony S. Colbert. A daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she topped it all. She owned & operated Rose Marie’s Beauty Salon and was a certified nurse’s aide. Rose is also survived by her loving husband, Clayton E. “Sonny” Keyes; two sons, Timothy W. Keyes (Christy) and Robert “Jeff” Keyes; a daughter, Kimberly D. Keyes; two brothers, Bruce E. Lawhorn (Sherry) of Rustburg and Ron Lawhorn (Petra) of Germany; six grandchildren,; a foster brother, Sam Franklin of Monroe and a special sister-in-law, “Boots”. A celebration of Rose’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Tree of Life Ministries with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating.
