Ronald Eugene Hendrick

Ronald Eugene Hendrick, 77, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, April 03, 2015, at the Medical Care Center. He was the husband of Patricia Arthur Hendrick. Born November 20, 1937, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Robert Waverly Hendrick and the late Bettye Williams Hendrick.

Ronald was a retired checker for Rock-Tenn, where he served for 42 years before retiring, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ronald also served our country in the Army National Guard/Reserve for 8 years, where he was part of the 101st Airbourne.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette Bjerky.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Haworth and her husband Gary of Lynch Station and Deborah Humphrey and her husband Landon of Maryville, TN; one sister, Sharon Jamerson and her husband Melvin of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Robert Lee and his special friend, Holly Wetmore, Kristin Bennett and her husband Nick, Landon Trevor Humphrey and his wife Tiffany and Brittany Kaseoru and her husband Anthony; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends, 5-7 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
