Ralph Lawrence Hollifield

Ralph Lawrence Hollifield, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Ralph was the son of the late Floyd and Madge Hollifield of Marion, NC. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Dale Hollifield. Ralph is survived by his wife, Kitty Dallas Hollifield; two daughters, Kim Brown and husband Mike and Kelly Allamong and husband Keith; four grandchildren, Channon Dalton and wife Ashley, Shannon Brown and wife Tammy, China Brown, and Kasey Allamong; and three beautiful great grandchildren, Jackson and Brooklynn Dalton and Riley Brown Lampmon. Ralph served our country in the United States Army where he was a Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He drove for Burlington Industries and LC Trucking, where he had many friends within the trucking community. The drivers knew him as “Holly Hawk” on the CB radios. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor David Rowland officiating.
