Born in Lynchburg, August 3, 1956, he was the son of the late Nathan Elam Wilkerson and Ruth Miles Wilkerson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Ray Wilkerson and Joseph Dwain “JoJo” Wilkerson and one brother, Bob Miles.
Nathan was employed with Falwell Corp and was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan, enjoyed fishing and would do anything for anyone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Jean Wilkerson; his children, Vicki Lee Johnson (Michael), Nathan Elam Wilkerson, III (Rosario) and Debra Jean Christine Marie Martin (Gerri); his brothers, Robin Miles, Walter Wilkerson (Karen) and Harry Wilkerson; sisters, Jill Lee Hill (Stanley), Christine W. Key and Jenny Hall; his grandchildren, Bethany, Zoey, Sandi, Anna Beth, Sam, Nadia, Nathan IV, Nathan V and Tori and five great grandchildren, Hayven, Adrian, Jax, Alaric and Serenity and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at New Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Dooley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
