Morris Andrew Monroe

He was born on March 18, 1956 in Lynchburg, son of Stella Hunt Monroe and the late Abner Jeter Monroe.

Morris was retired from KDC, enjoyed football, had a love for all music, enjoyed western TV shows, movies and loved walking outdoors.

Survivors include 4 children, Samara Monroe-McCann (Mondo McCann) of Forest, Katina Jones (Raymond) of Lynchburg, Andrea Monroe of California, and Diona Monroe of Washington, DC; 6 siblings, Kelvin Monroe (Donna) of Maryland, Sterling Monroe (Angela) of Rustburg, Marcus Monroe (Stacey) of Michigan, Patricia Broggin of Altavista, Doris Campbell of Pennsylvania and Francine Monroe of Altavista. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Donita Johnson of Lynchburg as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Repass to follow at the family home in Altavista, reserved for the family due to limited space.
