 Obituario de Mary Durham Anderson
Mary Jane Durham Anderson, 86, of Evington passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy Lee Anderson. Born in Danville, June 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Durham, Jr. and Mary Fuqua Durham. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James R. “Butch” Durham, III. Mary worked with her husband as the co-owner of Anderson Well Drilling for over 40 years. She later went back to work in the deli department of Kroger’s. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was known for her wonderful cooking. She liked music and everything stopped when Jeopardy was on. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Billy Lee Anderson, Jr. and his wife Teri of Gladys; one daughter, Susan Anderson Reynolds of Huddleston; three grandchildren, Haley Nicole Anderson, Jackson “Jakki” Reynolds (Jennifer) and April R. Milton (Jesse); six great grandchildren, Zoe Nicole Reynolds, Carrington Lee Pollard, Trinity Diane Reynolds, Jackson Alexander Lewis Reynolds, Charles Steele Milton and Makenzie Song Hall and her cousin, Carolyn Farmer Anderson of Danville. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
