Born in Lynchburg, April 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Hunter Lindsey and Martha Wiley Lindsey.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Sherry Johnson and her husband David of Evington; four brothers, Gerald Lindsey and Lawrence “Larry” Lindsey both of Lynchburg and Hunter “Buddy” Lindsey of Madison Heights and William “Bill” Lindsey of Myrtle Beach and her granddaughter, Hudson Robertson.
Martha retired from the Campbell County School system with over 30 years of service and was a member of Whites United Methodist Church. Martha loved flowers and working in her flower garden at home and spending time with her granddaughter Hudson.
A memorial service celebrating Martha’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Larry Davies officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. today at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the home of her daughter Sherry.
