Marilyn Martin Albers took her heavenly journey on March 26, 2011 after a long illness. She was born June 27, 1921 in Woodstock, Ohio to Eloise and Maxwell Martin. She graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She worked as a radio announcer and was employed by General Electric during WWII. She married her former husband Wayne Albers in New York City in 1944. After WWII they moved to Cleveland and later to Chagrin Falls. Marilyn was a mother, a homemaker and loved the Federated Church, becoming a Stephen minister in her later years. The family will always remember her warm smile, kind heart, giving to others, and ever encouraging spirit.
Marilyn is survived by her two sons, William Albers and wife Christine, of Memphis and Lynchburg, Gregg Albers and wife Andrea, of Lynchburg, six grandchildren Matthew Albers, Meredith Moore, Bethany Albers, Rachel Ruiz, Wesley Albers, and Andrew Albers and four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bailey Moore, David and Isabelle Ruiz.
The family is planning a memorial service for Marilyn in Chagrin Falls, Ohio in May at the Federated Church Family Life Center, in the Norling Prayer and Memorial Gardens.
