Karen Alease Wright Burks

Karen Alease Wright Burks, 79, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at The Carrington. Born April 19, 1935 in Rustburg, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Malcolm and Annie McDaniel Wright. She was a retired computer operator with Centra Health and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Mrs. Burks is survived by her daughter, Karen B. Sirignano and her husband Al of Pittsboro, NC; three sisters, Charlene W. Stone of Indianapolis, IN, Betty W. Burks of Evington, and Lucy W. Walls of Murray, KY. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at White’s United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles E. Johnson, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Whitten Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Timberlake Chapel is serving the family.
