Inis Jean Hall Dunn, 75, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord Monday, May 18, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, the Rev. Carlton M. Dunn.
Born in Fries, VA, July 27, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Arthur T. Hall and Rose Myers Hall. Inis was a born again Christian and loved the Lord. She was a member of Shekinah Glory Baptist Church and proudly graduated from the Liberty Bible Institute in1996. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a loving mother to all.
Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Buttons Dunn and his wife Pam, Vicky Gilbert and her husband Ross, A.T. Dunn and his wife Cynthia “C”, Rose Vaughan and her husband Allen, Lizzy Wehrly and her husband Terry, Jeannie Dunn Eades and her husband Willie and Thelma “The Baby” Ennis and her husband Donnie; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Shekinah Glory Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlton “Buttons” Dunn, Jr., Dr. A.T. Dunn, Dr. Melvin H. Campbell and Dr. Carlton M. Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Thelma.
