Herman Edwin Cheatham, 83, of Rustburg passed away Friday, December 6, 2024. He was the son of the late Herman Preston Cheatham and Adina Thomas Cheatham.
Born in Lynchburg on March 16, 1941, Herman was someone who was known for his jokester personality, giving others a hard time and ability to get along with anyone who knew him. One of his favorite pastimes being tending to his garden and growing the plants he loved. In his younger years, Herman was a fan of fishing with his brothers but later in life he grew content with caring for and feeding his cats, and the birds in his yard. Herman loved his church, the Gospel Light and was a regular attendee of their services. He will be forever missed.
Those left to cherish Hermans memory include his loving wife Monna June Cheatham; his brothers Richard Cheatham and his wife Larita and Herman P. Cheatham; and his nieces and nephews whom he cared for like his own daughters Crystal Glass and her husband Jeremy and Kellie Tweedy and her husband Clarence, Sandy Miller, Cindy Worley, and Herman P. Cheatham III.
