Graham Daniel "Danny" Humphreys, Jr., 65, of Coleman Falls, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
Born on January 22, 1954 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Graham Daniel Humphreys and the late Vivian Hall Humphreys. Danny retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service. He enjoyed watching TV, word puzzles, and was an avid UVA fan. Danny was an active member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Jarvis.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Sarrah Shevitz and wife Shannon; step-mother to Sarrah, Catherine Fitzgerald Humphreys; two grandchildren, Collin Harris and Hannah Harris; sisters, Dana Manley and husband Peter, Gail Quick and husband Walter, and Lynn Harris and husband Don; brother-in-law, Phillip Jarvis; and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Hunting Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Kenneth Bledsoe officiating. Inurnment will follow at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
