He was born on September 12, 1947 in Rustburg, son of the late Robert M. Elliott and Lillian S. Elliott. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Martha W. Elliott; siblings Christine Reynolds, Helen Pollard, Irene Candler, Louise Clowers, Richard Elliott, Cecil Elliott and Carol Elliott.
He served his country in the United States Army and was a proud veteran although his proudest accomplishment was being a loving and protective husband to Martha and father to Heather. His love for them knew no bounds. He retired from R.R. Donnelly and was a dedicated employee. He was the life of the party and always kept everyone laughing. He loved muscle cars, racing and woodworking. He will most be known for his generosity and willingness to help others.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather D. Elliott; sisters Shirley Grosvenor, Kathleen Grosvenor, Mary Grosvenor; brothers Carlton Elliott, Mickey Elliott, Kenny Elliott and his feline companion, Grayson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Dr. Derick Hamby officiating.
