Dorothy Proctor Hammock

Born November 20, 1932 in Chester, SC, she was the daughter of the late James William and Doris Reno Proctor. Dot was the retired Office Manager of Bennie’s Rentals, Inc. with fifty years of service. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Dot’s passion was being a true friend to all she knew. She was that “go to person” for so many, always offering a listening ear, always being honest, sometimes even painfully honest and always offering good advice.

Dot is survived by her children, Ron and wife Jo Ann of Travelers Rest, SC, Carla and husband Bobby of Easley, SC, and Lisa Jordan of Lynchburg; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dot held a very special place in her heart for Heather, her “best girl”.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service and for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
