Born on October 17, 1931 in Tuckasegee, NC to the late Dexter Hooper and Faye Hooper. He was also preceded in death by a brother, sister and a great granddaughter.
David was a decorated Veteran of the United States Airforce, an entrepreneur, who started many businesses, including, Virginia Plumbing Supply, Central Virginia Supply, and Hooper Plumbing Supply.
He was raised in the Church of the Nazarene, a member of Forest Family Fellowship, and a devoted family man with a generous heart who loved his family dearly.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Terry Bridges (Bill), Tammy Pritchard (Paul), Trina Long (John); one son, Tony Hooper (Becky); nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and six sisters.
The family would like to thank New Century Hospice for their support and compassionate care that was provided in his last months of life.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Whitt officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Forest Family Fellowship Building Fund at P.O. Box 777 Forest, Va. 24551. It was his heart’s desire to live long enough to see the new sanctuary complete.
