David Lynn Dearing

David Lynn Dearing, 58, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Kathleen Ann Dearing for twenty-nine years. Born March 4, 1958 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Richard Warren Dearing and Pauline Jones Dearing and was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Dearing Baber. David retired from the City of Lynchburg Public Works Department after twenty-nine years of service. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his brother, Richard Darrell Dearing and his wife Sue of Madison heights and many special nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Sam Stump officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
