Born October 9, 1960 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the Late Robert Odell Ragland and Joyce Wright Ragland. Brian was retired from Glad Manufacturing and was a lifetime member of Fairview Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon and loved working with “his women” on Tuesday nights at the church on “free dinner night”. Brian loved to hunt and was an avid Washington Redskin and UVA football fan. He also loved NHRA drag racing.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his son, Titus Lee Dunn; his daughter, Amber Taylor, both of Concord; four grandchildren, Titus Lee Dunn, Jr., Kayden Gayle Davis, Sophia Nancy Taylor, and Abel Christopher Taylor; three brothers, Barry “Skeeter” Ragland and wife Rita, Mark Ragland and wife Tammy, and Kevin Ragland.
He is also survived by a special nephew, Robert Blake Ragland; his favorite mother-in-law, Nancy Carter; two brothers-in-law, Michael Carter and wife Debbie of Chesterfield and Thomas Carter of North Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2021 at Fairview Christian Church with The Rev. Coretha Loughridge officiating. Per Brian’s wishes, he will be cremated.
The family will receive friends, at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time and other times at the residence.
