Katherine Loraine Smith

Katherine Smith was an amazing person. She helped any and every one she could. She worked at Forrest General Hospital for several years providing excellent patient care to numerous gentle souls, finishing her career on floor 5t and was loved by many hospital staff and coworkers. She was born in Columbia, Mississippi, December 24th, 1972. She is being put to rest in company of her late husband and soul mate Spencer Hunsicker. She was a fan of 80s music, bell bottoms and hiking adventures. Kathy and Spencer loved and cherished each other beyond words. They were soul mates and definitely made for each other.

Katherine and Spencer are preceded in death by one sister, Jennifer M. Hunsicker and one uncle, Karl Whiteman.

Katherine leaves to cherish her memory to her three children, Charles Smith, Laken Smith and Spencer Hunsicker, Jr; her mother, Donna Beach; three sisters, Janell Howse, Tracy and Yolanda; six grandchildren, Jadyn Tingle, Lori Moree, Josalyn Tingle, Easton Smith, Addilyn Smith and Joshua Smith; three aunts, Elaine Whiteman, Bridget Whiteman aunt and best friend Carol Whiteman; two uncles, Harold Whiteman and Andy Whiteman; six nieces, Eryn Howse, Emily Howse, Jessica, Cheyann, Callie and Paige; four nephews, Jacob Howse, Anthony, Eric and Adam; five cousins, Paul Whiteman, Brian Whiteman, Christopher Whiteman, Jesse Whiteman and Laura Whiteman; one son-in-law, Cory Moree; one daughter-in-law, Paige Smith and one brother-in-law, Edward.

Family and friends are invited to attend Katherine's Funeral Service on Friday, September 1, 2023 for 12:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 102 N. 1st Street, Lumberton, MS. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 1460 Clear Creek Church Road, Baxterville, MS. Bro. Benny M. Rayborn will officiate the services.
