Dorothy Lavern Morgan Simpson

Dorothy Lavern Morgan, Martin, Baradell, Simpson, age 85, she took her first steps into heaven on December 26, 2022 while surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 17, 1937 and was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was loved by all that knew her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Morgan, and Stella and Thomas Parker Sr.; brother, Thomas Parker Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Morris; granddaughter, Brittney Holcomb; and son- in-law, Larry Treadway Sr. She is survived by her brothers, WT Morgan, Daniel Morgan, Ray Parker, and Roy Parker; her children, Quinton D. Martin Jr.(Pat), Frankie J. Martin (Lugene), Sheila A. Treadway, Sondra J. Goar (Lennis), Bob K. Martin (Michelle), Lawrence Baradell (Evelyn), Diedra Lyons (DeDe), and Toie Davis (William); 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM at White Funeral Home in Lumberton, MS where family will receive friends for visitation from 10:30 AM until service time. Reverend Jim Craven will officiate services and burial will follow at Little Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
