Mr. Thomas was born July 6, 1936 in Corrigan, Texas, son of the late Eula Mae Ingram and Augustus Raymond Thomas. He passed away peacefully at Shady Acres Betty House in Newton, Texas on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He graduated from Nacogdoches High School and later proudly served in the Army National Guard. After decades of service, he retired from Sullivan Graphics. Roger was a member of Herty Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Jana Cates and husband, Allen; grandchildren, Cassie Cates Riegle and Colby Thomas Cates, and wife, Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Colton Riegle and Joseph Allen Cates.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Lunsford Thomas.
