Mass of Christian Burial for Maria De La Luz Lopez, 69, of Lufkin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Maria was born December 25, 1950 in Mexico and passed away on September 4, 2020 in a local hospital.

Maria was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, nature walks, and cooking

Survivors include her son, Humberto Lopez, and daughters, Lucy and Azucena Lopez; mother, Paula Lopez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sasha, Brandon, and Christian Lopez; Jeanette Sanchez, Emily Escobedo, Irene, Ruby and Stephanie Falcon; brothers, Juan, Jose, Felipe, George, Roberto and Alberto Lopez; sisters, Gloria Arriaga, Olga Ramos, Blanca Rodriguez, Sonia Rojo, Maria Isabel Lopez and Mary Yado.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
