Earl Eugene Davis

Mr. Davis was born June 6, 1938 in Rockland, Texas, the son of the late Essie (Rawls) and John Wesley Davis. He passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mr. Davis was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding horses, farming and being a cowboy. He was retired from the Abitibi papermill.

Survivors include his son, Cliff Davis; daughter, Jada Davis; son, Jared Davis; grandchildren, Hallie Davis, Garett Davis, Kirsten Davis, and Ethan Davis and wife Ashton; great-grandson, Blake Hughes; sister, LaQuita Owens; and a number of other family members.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Margaret Davis; his second wife, Shirley Davis; son, Wesley Davis; sister, Robbie Lee Byerly; and brothers, Willie Wesley Davis and Burtis Davis.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bryan, Ken Cargill, Brandon Getro, Vance Kirby, Brad Morton and Hank Waggonner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Linton and Carl Patton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
