Bonnie was a loving mother, Nanny, sister, and friend. She found joy in many things, including loving on all the babies, playing cards, needlepoint, playing games on her phone, watching scary movies, and canning. Her family and friends will always remember her kind heart, her laughter, and her passion for life. A devout Baptist, her faith was a cornerstone in her life.
She is survived by her daughter Pokey and her husband David; her son Bill and Jennifer; grandchildren Nichole "Munchkin" and her husband Johnny, Jackie "Sugar Baby" and her husband Billy, Briana "Sweet Pea" and her husband Derek, Jacob "Bubby" and his wife Megan, Joe, Lila "Princess," Earl "Sweetie Pie" and Carly, Haden "Honey Bun", Brayden, Skylar, and Miles & Maverick "M&M"; great-grandchildren Ivey, Luca, Everett, Eastyn, and River; great-niece Aalyiah "LyLy"; daughter-in-law Jenny Wright and her husband Dwayne; sister Earline "Doll"; brother Ernest Miles and his wife Suzy; loving friends Mandy & Ricky Martin; and her precious dog, Crybaby. Bonnie will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Sam, Aunt Maggie, Aunt Jim, Uncle Tom, Cousin Bud, and other beloved aunts and uncles, and her best friend Peggy.
Honorary pallbearers are Jacob, Earl, Joe, and Haden.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5-8pm at Gipson Funeral Home in Lufkin, TX. A Funeral Service officiated by Bro. Jackson Colwell will follow on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2pm. Bonnie will be laid to rest in Zavalla Cemetery.
The family requests that everyone dress casually and wear red in honor of Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the home health team at Accent Care that cared for Bonnie over the past few years.
Bonnie’s love for her family and friends will remain in their hearts forever.
