Mr. Williams lived in the Pollok area his entire life and graduated from Hudson High School. He was a retiree of the Postal Service where he worked as a mail handler. He then began driving an 18-wheeler for the remainder of his career. He was a member of Pollok Baptist Church. Billy loved fishing, hunting, farming and driving his 18-wheeler. His favorite thing though, was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include; his wife, Gloria Sue Williams of Pollok; daughters and sons-in-law, Callie Sue and Doyle Abner of Pollok, Cindy Renee and Eddie Burks of Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Wayne and Kaye Williams of Dallas, Kevin Gayle and Carolyn Sue Williams of Pollok, and Ronny Glenn and Christy Williams of Etoile; 11 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Claudie and Alice Williams of Florisant, Missouri, Bobby and Sue Williams of Dallas; sister-in-law, Joan Williams of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Williams; and granddaughter, Heather Williams.
Pallbearers will be Greg Greenwell, Jason Burks, Richard Dixon, Forrest Hodges, Terry Greenwell, Billy Wayne Williams, Trevor Williams and Keith Hodges.
Services for Mr. Williams will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
