W.B. “Bill” Riley, a long time Lubbock resident, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 in Odessa, Texas at the Courtyard Memory Care Unit. He was a member of the Downtown Men’s Bible Class, Lubbock Lions Club, and he was also a Master Mason with Yellow House Chapter of Lubbock.
W.B. was born and raised in Quanah, Texas. He served in the Navy during World War II. He returned home to work for Phillips for a while. He then went back in at the beginning of the Korean War in the Air Force. He stayed with the Air Force and retired in October of 1968 to Lubbock, Texas. He worked at
different jobs in Lubbock after retirement.
W.B. was preceded in death by his wife, Billie L. Drager Riley in 2002.
W.B. is survived by his daughters, Teresa G. Costallos of Denton, Trina F. Abney and husband John E. (Gene) Abney of Odessa, Grandchildren; Chad Costallos and wife Renee, Yvonne Costallos-Blassingame and husband David, Daren Abney and wife Anndee, David Abney and wife Sae, Great-Grandchildren; Paul Blassingame, Jocelyn Blassingame, Loren Costallos, Michial Costallos, Abby Costallos, Violet Abney and Leo Abney.
