Troy Bostwick

Services for Troy Wendell Bostwick will be held at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10 am. With Rev. Charles Carman officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Friday, November 25, 2011.

Troy was born in Cooper, Delta County, TX on September 15th, 1923 to Claude and Florence Bostwick. He served in the Army during WWII in the European theater, participating in Operation Overlord, landing on the beaches of Normandy in June, 1944. Both Troy and wife Opal worked at the U.S. Postal Service for decades, retiring in the early 80's. Troy continued working for many years thereafter in auto sales and petroleum equipment. He was a long standing member of First Baptist Church in Midland, TX.

He is preceded in death by wife, Opal Bostwick, a sister, Werdna Cates, a brother, Wayne Bostwick and a stepson, Gary Warren.

Troy is survived by son, Patrick Bostwick of Lubbock, a daughter, Donna Bostwick Chaney of Tyler, TX, a brother, Darrel Bostwick of Melrose, NM, stepson, Joe Warren of San Antonio, TX, along with eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
