Sharon had wanted to attend college but had monetary needs so that idea was put to rest until later in life. She eventually accumulated almost 30 hours of credits. Even without the college degree, she excelled in all of her working endeavors. She rode a tractor for her father at a very young age. She had a variety of jobs, Sharon was a carhop in high school, electronics line worker, a peanut grader, a grocery store clerk, line worker at TI, retail sales at Dillards and Havertys. Her final job was at Havertys with 23 ½ years of service. She was active in her church at Greenlawn Church of Christ. Sharon had a close relationship with all the ladies in her bible study class. Sharon loved their times after class when the group went to lunch. Sharon was very passionate about family. She went with her sister on short trips and was close with a cousin and her daughter in Fort Worth. She loved the Lord but also liked shopping and looking nice. Sharon attended many sporting events where her grandsons were playing. Sharon bragged about those two grandsons, Ethan and Landon, to everyone she talked to.
Sharon’s parents preceded her, father in 2007 and mother in 2012. Surviving family includes a loving husband, Steve Curbo; son, Chris Curbo and wife Crystal; grandsons, Ethan and Landon; daughter, Stephanie Curbo; sister, Barbara Sue Baxter and her husband Mike and children; brother, Woody Wayne Patterson and his wife Sherry and children; and cousin, Porta Wagner and children.
