Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Ruth was born on September 12, 1928 in Rankin, Texas. She married Felix Hilburn on Saturday, March 4, 1947 in Crowell, Texas. She was an excellent cook who was never afraid to try a new recipe from her large collection.
She is survived by Felix Hilburn, her husband of 64 years, three sons; David and his wife Pearl, Douglas, and DeWayne Hilburn, one step son; Felix Hilburn and his wife Betty, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother; Alton Johnson and two sisters, Evelyn Stone and Jeanette Bradford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant daughter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heritage Oaks Nursing and Rehab center for the care that was given to Ruth during the past few months.
