Roberto R. Hinojosa

Mass of Christian Burial for Roberto R. Hinojosa of Lubbock will be held at 10 am, Friday, November 30, 2018 at St John Neumann Catholic Church with Father George Roney officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 Thursday, November 29 with the Rosary to begin at 7 pm in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lubbock, TX.

On the early hours of November 26, 2018 Robert passed away peacefully at the Garrison Assisted Living in Lubbock. His beloved wife and family gathered at his side shortly after. Robert was 85 years old. He was born in Weslaco, Texas on February 13, 1933. He married Francis Gonzalez July 28, 1955 in Plainview.

Robert was a devout Catholic, a member of the Crucistas and the Knights of Columbus in Plainview, he also served as a Eucheristic Minister.

He retired from Texas National Guard after serving 12 years, and retired from Pioneer Seed in Plainview in 1997. Robert loved working on his yard and gardening.

He was preceded in death by two sons; Robert Jr and Oscar Hinojosia, a granddaughter, Stephanie Gutierez, his parents and father and mother in law.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Francis; daughters Dolores (Joel) Saucedo and Debra Hinojosa all of Lubbock; son Roland Hinojosa (Susan) of Fort Worth, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
