Robert Michael Wilson

Robert. M. “Mike” Wilson, 84 of Lubbock, passed away April 17, 2023. He was born in Del Norte, CO on March 14, 1939, to Robert Glen Wilson and Jean Milner Wilson, and graduated from Monerey High School in 1957 and attended Texas Tech University.

He was married to Linda Baird on August 26, 1961. Mike was with the United States Postal Service for 41 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of Shepard of the Plains Evangelical Lutheran Church and a devoted Christian since his early youth. He had a passion for giving and supported many local and national charities.

Mike is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Jane, a sister, Ann Runnels, of Lubbock, nephew, Don Wilson and wife Tammy of Wentzerville, MO. and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean and his older brother, Don Milner Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 am Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday at the Shepherd of the Plains Evangelical Lutheran Church 5812 73rd St, Lubbock, TX 79424 with Pastor Kasper officiating, interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
