Services for Raymond “Bo” Doyle Kauffman, 83, will be held Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven in Lubbock. Interment will follow the service at Resthaven. The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening at Resthaven from 6-8 pm.
Raymond passed away at the age of 83 years, Friday, May 13, 2022. He was born on November 17, 1938, to A.J. “Jeff” and Annie Elizabeth Kauffman in Levelland, who raised 7 boys and 3 girls on a farm east of Levelland. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Levelland. He graduated Levelland High School in 1957 and was honored to receive a college football scholarship to West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas where he played ball and graduated in 1961.
Following graduation, he coached one year in Wellington, Texas and returned to Levelland where he continued his coaching career. He married RosaBeth Gilmore on October 27, 1967, and raised two children, Deuce and Tori. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Levelland.
Raymond then had an opportunity to work at Amoco Oil Company where he began as a Plant Operator and subsequently moved up to Safety Director for the Levelland District. His career advanced to Construction Field Foreman and received full retirement over twenty years ago. He then began his own company 2-K Trucking where he designed and built a custom trailer to haul two cotton strippers at a time for local farmers’ custom stripping. He continued this business for over 15 years.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, RosaBeth, father Jeff and mother Annie Kauffman, brothers, Douglas, Roy, Jeff Jr., and Bobby, and sister, Dorothy.
Survivors include his son, Ray Gilmore “Deuce” Kauffman and wife Rhonda of Ozark, Missouri, and daughter Tori D’Shea Kauffman of Levelland. “Py Py” to his three grandkids – Teagan Mercer and her husband Drew of Chandler, Arizona, Chase Gilmore Kauffman, and Zachary Doyle Kauffman both of Springfield, Missouri, and his four great grandkids from the Mercer’s – Ace, Andi, August, and Al. Raymond is also survived by his brother James “Chop” and Ruth Ann Kauffman of Duncanville, Texas, Helen “Polly” Kauffman of Levelland, Patsy and Jerry Holland of Soldotna, Alaska, and Vernon “Butch” and Cheryl Kauffman of Friendswood, Texas along with many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Pallbearers: Kirk Brock, Jody Franklin, Lonnie Harris, Bobby Darrel Kauffman, Bruce Rhyne, Alan Wisdom, Andy Wisdom, Daryn Kauffman, and Sean Kauffman.

The family extends sincere appreciation over the last several years to each of his friends and family that checked on Raymond. We especially want to thank Adams House for his excellent loving care over the past several months.
