Lt. Col. Philip K. Mammen MD MBA of Lubbock, Texas died on June 3rd 2024 after a lengthy illness. Philip is the son of Mr. K.C. Mammen and the late Mrs. Joy P. Mammen.
He is survived by his father, sister, Dr. Elizabeth Mammen Prasad, Brother-in-law Dr. Joseph P Prasad, Brother, Dr. Alex Mammen, Sister-in-law, Dr. Sarah Mammen, Brother, Dr. John Mammen, his daughter Mrs. Meesha Woznickza, son-in-law Paul Woznickza, nephews, Joshua, Alexander, and Luke, and his nieces, Lauren, and Susan.
Philip was born in India and immigrated to Lubbock at the age of 3 with his parents. He graduated from Coronado High School, and Texas Tech University with his B.S., he later went on to graduate from medical school in Guadalajara, MX, and obtained his MBA from Alpine University. He last worked at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Springs, TX.
Philip joined the Texas State Guard and was in service for 16 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Philip served in the 1st Brigade 4th Battalion Charlie Company and was promoted to Lt. Col. on June 1st 2024.
Funeral Services will be held at Green Lawn Church of Christ on Friday June 7th at 12 Noon with burial to follow at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Lubbock, TX.
