Nell Curry

Funeral services will take place on Fri. Aug. 26, 2011, at 1:00 PM, in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Intement will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Aug. 25, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Nell was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Stephenville, TX to parents Ruth (Hatchett) and Luther Carr. On Jan. 12, 1945, she was married to Doyle Curry. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Wolfforth and also attended the Caregiver’s Sunday School class. Nell was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Tonda and Jerry Spencer of Sulphur Springs, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Luann Curry of Ropesville; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Malcolm Taber of SC; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: C.T., Wendell, and Bob Carr; and by her husband, who passed away in 1998.
