Naomi was born in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Idalou High School in nearby Idalou.
She married James Fleming in August 1966 and they spent 46 wonderful years together. Naomi worked as an Executive Assistant alongside her husband in the moving business for over 30 years.
Naomi enjoyed being involved in her community as a proud member of the American Business Women’s Association for over 20 years, as well as serving others as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. After retirement, Naomi found herself working at Walmart as everyone’s favorite person—a product demonstrator passing out samples!
Naomi was an excellent cook and will be remembered for her delicious holiday dishes, serving her family and friends wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, along with many of her famous sweet treats. Traveling brought Naomi great joy, and while visiting friends and family was her favorite destination, she was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel to faraway destinations such as Australia, Europe, and Israel. She also enjoyed playing dominoes and various card games with friends and family.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, James Fleming; her first husband, J.W. Pruitt, along with their two sons, Mike Pruitt and Kenneth Pruitt; as well as her parents, William and Lannie Holt; her four sisters, Ruby Averitt, Velma Smith, Ima Pickford, Gladys Coffman; and three brothers, Fay Holt, Cleo Holt, and Glen Holt.
Those left to cherish Naomi’s memory are her sons, Brian Fleming and his husband Douglas Soucy; Randy Fleming and his wife Gwen; Steve Fleming and his wife Shelly; and daughter Melanie Klugh, along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
