Born on May 29, 1933, and raised in Pampa, Texas with her brother, Sonny Huval. Nancy moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University where she met her husband, Homer. Nancy married Homer Wilson in Fairfax, Virgina, on February 20, 1953, during his time in the Army. They later returned to Lubbock to start a family and build a future. Nancy worked as lead decorator for their first business, Wilson and Wilson Homes for 24 years. In 1987, they founded Southwest Bingo Supply, where Nancy managed the office for the following 30 years.
Whether she was hosting one of her magnificent holiday meals, or attending a grandchild’s sporting event, she did everything with class and style. She loved to go shopping, and always maintained a beautiful garden. Laughter and joy filled the room whenever Nancy was present. She devoted her life to her family and will be dearly missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Homer Wilson, and her daughter Sharon Breedlove.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia and husband, Robert Byers, of Lubbock, and a son, Clifford Wilson and wife, Jennifer, of Wolfforth; nine grandchildren: Christian Hames, Justin Johnson, Jenny Neal, Tiffany Cook, Brandon Neal, Emily King, Alicia Green, Joshua Wilson, and Tessa Galland; and fourteen great grandchildren. The family recognizes Carmen Luna, who cared for Nancy in her final years.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79407. Following the visitation will be a graveside committal service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79407.
