Max was born May, 31, 1935 in Vernon, Texas. He grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma and has lived in Lubbock since 1969. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp- Platoon 276 and retired after 25 years with Goodyear Tire & Rubber.
Survivors include; his wife, Lillian Huston; 3 daughters: Sharon and Dan Boone of Abernathy, Shelly & Bobby Williams and Sheila and Joe Flinn all of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Peggy Lechtenberger of Houston; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Max will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home, with Ken Staton officiating. The family will receive guests at 12:00 Noon prior to service. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
