Larry Eugene Parchman

Larry was born in Olla, Louisiana. He was adopted by his loving parents Richard and Anna Parchman. He grew up in the Lubbock area. He graduated from Ropesville High School in 1970. He attended South Plains College where he ran track. He was a proud father of 5 children and 2 stepchildren.

He had a long career working vending sales and merchandising for Coca Cola. His hobbies included watching all sports, driving around listening to the oldies, drinking coffee, and checking out cars. He enjoyed trivia game shows and collecting coins. He is known for his determination, quick witted humor, and kindness to others. He is admired for his strength and bravery as he battled cancer for 5 years.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Richard and mother, Anna. He was survived by his sister, Deanna Cluck of Austin, Tx.; children: Jennifer Purdom and her husband Robert of Lubbock, Tx; Joni Gooch and her husband Jeremy of Lubbock, Tx; Kody Parchman and wife Kayla of El Paso, Tx, Kyle Parchman of Lubbock. Tx, and Jeremy Parchman of Rosharon Tx. Two stepchildren Scott Parchman and Stacy Dudley of Sherman, Tx. He had 13 grandchildren Jayse, Corbin, Aspen, Andrew, Baleigh, Brooklyn, Angelina, Miley Jillianne, Jaxson, Faith, Lillian and William.

Memorial service will take place on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel 5720 19th St, Lubbock, Tx at 1:00pm.
