Jack was born on January 1, 1938 in Ackerly, Texas to the late Franklin Alexander and Willie Farris Locke. Jack was one of seven children: Billie Maxine Henderson (deceased); Irene Joyce Riebold (deceased); Frank Alexander Locke, Jr. (deceased); Enid Lynn Williams (deceased); Patrick Norman Locke; and Frankie Lou Locke (deceased). Jack married the love of his life, Maria Nilda Austria Locke, on January 25, 1986.
Jack served in the US Army Infantry from 1957-1959. He then joined the Confederate Air Force—Ghost Squadron. He helped restore a B25 Mitchell and served as its engineer. Jack’s passion was flying, fixing and rebuilding planes, and travelling the countryside with his wife. Jack loved to joke around and when he liked you, you can bet he gave you a nickname.
He is survived by his wife—Maria Nilda Austria Locke; by his children—Rick R. Felan and Maelynn A. Felan, and Jack Steven A. Locke and Brandy L. Locke; and by his granchildern—Meagan R. Felan, David H. Felan, Sofia R. Felan, Stephanie K. Locke, Katherine (Katy) R. Locke and Sarah C. Locke.
Jack leaves a legacy of unconditional love. He will be greatly missed!!!
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
