Gena Huber, 59, of Lubbock died on Monday, December 23, 2013. Gena was born in Lubbock, Texas, on August 12, 1954. She attended Texas Tech University, graduating with a B.S. in Education. After graduating she went to work for LISD and later worked at Huber’s Western Wear for several years. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and traveling.
Gena was preceded in death by her father, Gene Huber (2003) and mother Bennie Huber (2006).
Those who cherish her memory include her brother Zane Huber and sister Shana Bidwell and her husband Charley Bidwell; and three nieces, two nephews, and several cousins.
Services will be in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haven Animal Care Shelter.
