Frances G. Jones

She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth and attended Texas Tech. Frances married Henry P. Jones in Lubbock in 1942; he preceded her in death in 1995.

She retired from Methodist Hospital as a Chaplain Secretary, and was past president of Lubbock Jaycee-ettes and Methodist Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered for many years. She also enjoyed playing bridge, and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years.

Frances is survived by two children, Jan Jones of Carrollton, TX; Mike Jones and his wife, Wendy of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren; Kristen and John Poirier, Nicole and Jeff Hardin; four great-grandchildren: Leah (Christopher) Reiger, Shelby Ross, Morgan Ross, Jordyn Hardin; nephew: Howard (Roma) Collins; nieces, Carol Douglass, and Ann Collins; numerous grandnephews and grandnieces.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Carillon Neil Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Carillon Foundation, Westminster Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
