After graduating from Plainview High School, she obtained her nursing license and started her career as an LVN in 1959. She married Frank Hernandez in 1960 then later moved to Lubbock, where they raised their three children.
Eva had a passion for serving others and was always eager to help those around her. She was known for her devotion to the Lord and was a proud member of Iglesia Templo Baptista.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Pura Rodriguez, and her son, Rudy Hernandez. She is survived by her sister, Esperanza Doss, her son, Eloy Hernandez, daughter, Eva Diana Hernandez, grandchildren, Keith Hernandez, and Lisa Ramirez (John), 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
The family invites you to join them as they honor her life with a Celebration of Life service on Thursday December 14, 2023 at 2pm in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
