Cende was taken too soon and survived by her two sons, Ian and Matthew Phillips; her daughter in law, Chelsie, and her three grandchildren: Iana, Maddox, and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Betty Denney.
Cende’s greatest gifts in life were her two sons, whom she instilled her sense of humor into. The thing she loved most in life was being a mom, and next being a grandma.
She was a collector of all things, and had many interest to include gardening, reading, watching “her shows”, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and taking care of her dogs.
Cende was a dedicated to her career with the Lubbock Sheriff’s Department as a Detention Officer, she retired January 2017.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Shallowater, 1008 8th St. in Shallowater, TX 79363.
