Christine "Chris" K. Conard

She graduated from Lorenzo High School and Draughns Business College. While working at the Lubbock Glider Base, she met and married T.A. Conard in August of 1943. Chris enjoyed her employment at Region XVII Education Service Center and her association with Dr. Day and Gerald Rogers. She is a

longtime member of Highland Baptist Church and Lubbock Chapter 76 Order of Eastern Star.

Chris is preceded in death by her husband, her sister Geraldine Hood and brother Hal Kemp. She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-law, Kay & Jim Stapleton of Houston, Carol Edwards of Houston and Candis Conard of Lubbock as well as her favorite niece and her husband Jan and Edward Broome. Her two granddaughters are Stacey Stapleton of Camarillo, California and Kim Madey and her husband, Steve of West Linn, Oregon. She was extremely

proud of her three great-grandsons, Ryan Ridderbush of Camarillo and Clayton & Cole Madey of West Linn. Her positive attitude and infectious happiness will continue to be an example for all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers Chris would want contributions made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels or your favorite charity.
