They moved around during his “growing up” mostly around the Big Spring area as his dad was mainly a sharecropper. Chuck graduated from Texas Tech University, He met Marcia June Spencer and they married September 12, 1959. Chuck was a Christian and served as a deacon and an Elder.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Marcia June Spencer Lewis and also his 2nd wife,
Margie Gaut Lewis and his daughter, Sheri Pat Lewis, his sisters, Sybil Gilmore, Sylvia Prescott and Margie Lee Clevenger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Robbie Lewis of Lubbock; Stan and Joanna Lewis of Mt.
Sterling, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Kaye Fitzhugh of Garland, TX; Grandchildren: Calli and Edward Lewis of Lubbock, TX; Carter Lewis of North Carolina, Wyatt Lewis of Mt. Sterling, KY and Clayton Lewis of Mt. Sterling, KY.Great grandchildren: Mandi and Nathan Elam of Waxahachie, TX; Wesley Tuley of North Fort Worth; Rubi Tucker of Lubbock, TX and Kati Tucker of Lubbock, TX.

A graveside committal service will occur Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 19th St., Lubbock, Texas.
